Privacy at TamilTime
TamilTime is used by children, so it asks for nothing personal — no name, no email, no account. This page describes exactly how the app behaves.
There are no accounts
There is no sign-up, sign-in, email field or password anywhere in the app. Nothing asks a child or a parent for a name, an age, an email address or a photo.
Progress stays in your browser
Two things are saved, both in your browser's own local storage on the device you play on: your lesson progress under the key tamil-time-progress-v1, and your colour choice under tamil-time-theme-v1. Neither is sent anywhere. Clearing your browser data, or using the reset button in Settings, deletes them.
Google Analytics is used, and nothing else
This site loads Google Analytics to count page views and a few anonymous events, such as which lesson was started and how many answers were right. Those events carry lesson names and numbers only — never a name, an email address, or anything a child typed, because the app never asks for any of it. Google Analytics sets its own cookies and sends this data to Google. There is no advertising, no pixel and no session recording.
No microphone or camera
Audio only ever plays out. The app never asks for microphone, camera or location permission, and does not record a child's voice.
Lesson content comes from this site
Lesson words, pictures and audio clips are static files served from this domain. The fonts are bundled with the site at build time rather than fetched from Google when you visit. The Google Analytics script is the one thing loaded from a third party.
Nothing about a child is published
Lesson progress never leaves the device, so there is nothing about any child for us to publish, share or sell. No progress page is reachable by a search engine.
Web hosting
Like any website, the server that delivers these pages may keep standard request logs, which can include an IP address. That is handled by the hosting provider rather than by the app.
To the site owner: name the hosting provider and its log retention period here, and have this page reviewed against the privacy law that applies to you before launch. Everything above is verifiable from the source code; this paragraph is the one part that cannot be. Google Analytics is currently enabled. Because the audience is children, decide deliberately on data retention, IP handling and whether a consent banner is legally required where your visitors are — and confirm this page satisfies Google's own disclosure requirement.
