Verbs that act on a thing rather than on the child: திற for open, மூடு for close, கொடு for give. Each one is a whole instruction on its own, and each turns up again in Two Words at Home attached to the object it acts on.

A tip for grown-ups
These are the easiest to practise without setting anything up, because the objects are already in the room. Hold something out and say கொடு or எடு instead of the English.
